Quick answer
A $500 budget covers every AWA light device on its own, and some pairs. A panel plus a handheld or belt is the most flexible pairing. A face mask plus a belt covers two very different uses. Two panels together cost $469.98. The HL500 sauna blanket and MX300 heating mat are heat products at $399.99 each, so do not compare them with panels. Prices were listed on October 14, 2026 and can change.
The price tiers at a glance
Most of the AWA line sits under $500, so the real question is not whether something fits. It is what combination fits. Here is every device by price, taken from the product pages on October 14, 2026.
| Tier | Device | Price | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under $100 | AWA 3 in 1 torch | $84.99 | Handheld, red, near infrared and blue modes, rechargeable |
| $100 to $200 | AWA belt | $119.99 | Wearable belt, 105 LEDs |
| $100 to $200 | AWA HL300 | $159.99 | Portable infrared sauna blanket (heat) |
| $100 to $200 | AWA FX300 | $199.99 | Compact hanging panel |
| $100 to $200 | AWA slippers | $199.99 | Wearable slippers with an infrared lining |
| $200 to $300 | AWA LX300 | $239.99 | Rechargeable silicone face mask |
| $200 to $300 | AWA FX500 | $269.99 | Compact foldable stand panel with remote |

Four sample baskets under $500
These pairings are only about price and format. They are not advice on what to use for what, and they say nothing about outcomes.
| Basket | Total | Left from $500 | Why people pick it |
|---|---|---|---|
| FX300 panel plus belt | $319.98 | $180.02 | One panel for a set distance, one wearable you can use while seated |
| FX500 panel plus 3 in 1 torch | $354.98 | $145.02 | A stand panel with a remote, plus a pocket sized handheld |
| LX500 face mask plus belt | $399.98 | $100.02 | A hands free face mask and a hands free wearable |
| FX300 plus FX500 | $469.98 | $30.02 | Two panels, useful if two people want to run sessions at once |
Notice what is not on the list. The FX500 plus the LX300 comes to $509.98, which is over the limit. A pair that sits just above your ceiling is better postponed than stretched, since shipping, tax and accessories can add to the total.
Two ways to split $500
- One main device and a small extra. Put 55 to 65 percent into the device you will use most, and the rest into a second format. This is the pattern in the first three baskets.
- Two equal devices. Useful for a household. It only makes sense if two people will really use them at the same time. See the sharing guide on this blog for the scheduling side of that.
Either way, hold a little back. A small reserve covers shipping, tax or a missing accessory. The FX300 and FX500 boxes list goggles, a door hook and a hanging kit, so accessories are lower on the list than the price tag suggests.
What the budget does not change
Price tier does not change how you read a spec. For any device in any basket, find these before you buy.
- Irradiance in mW/cm² at a stated distance. AWA publishes it for the FX300 (83.5 at 6 inches, 43.3 at 12 inches) and the FX500 (94 at 6 inches, 73.8 at 12 inches).
- Session guidance from the manual. The product pages list 10 to 15 minutes for the panels and 10 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week, for the LX500.
- Power source. The panels are corded, AC 100 to 240V. The LX500 has a 5000mAh rechargeable battery rated at up to 100 minutes per full charge, with Type C charging.
- Return and warranty terms. Read both before checkout.
Heat products are different. The HL300, HL500 and MX300 run on heat settings and timers, not on a panel distance. Compare them with each other, not with panels. The panel, mask or sauna blanket guide explains the split.
A simple way to choose in five minutes
- Pick the one format you would use most days. Be honest about it.
- Check that its price leaves some of the $500 spare.
- Add a second format only if it covers a clearly different use.
- Check box contents and return terms for both.
- Buy one first if you are unsure. You can add the second later.
What it costs per session
A rough way to see value: divide the price by the number of sessions you expect. Here is a case that uses example numbers for arithmetic only. A $469.98 pair used 3 times a week for 2 years is 312 sessions, which is about $1.51 per session. The same pair used twice a week for 1 year is 104 sessions, about $4.52. The device is the same and the cost per session is three times higher, which is why a realistic routine matters more than the sticker price.
Common mistakes
- Spending the whole $500 on one big item and leaving nothing for shipping, tax or a missing accessory.
- Comparing heat products with light panels as if they were the same type.
- Buying two similar devices when one would cover your plans.
- Forgetting that session guidance is per device, so two devices can double your weekly time.
- Trusting a bundle price without checking each box.
- Assuming a sale price is permanent. Check the live page.
Before you use any light device: read the label, follow the device manual, and use eye protection as directed. If you have any medical question, speak to a qualified professional first.
