How to choose an LED face mask
An LED light therapy face mask sits on the face so your hands stay free during a session. Both AWA masks, the LX300 and the LX500, are made from silicone, rechargeable and used for about 10 minutes at a time, 3 to 4 times a week, on clean bare skin. Select devices carry FDA 510(k) clearance for specific, limited uses; cleared for the face only. This applies to the LX300 and LX500 face masks.
LX300 vs LX500
The main differences are the light modes, the LED count and how the mask is built and charged. The LX500 has three modes: red plus near infrared (630nm and 850nm), blue (415nm) and a mixed mode. The LX300 offers red (630nm), near infrared (850nm) and blue (415nm). Check the fit, the material against your skin and how you want to charge it before you decide.

Mask or panel?
A mask covers the face only. If you want light over a larger area, a panel such as the FX500 may suit you better, and panel vs face mask explains the trade offs. For specs and modes in more detail, read the LX300 guide, the LX500 guide and the best LED face mask under $300. You can also compare AWA devices or take the 60 second device finder.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Every mask ships free in the US with a 60 day return window and a 1 year warranty. Apply serums and moisturizer after your session, not before.
