Most red light brands won't tell you. Here's our actual cost breakdown.
You can buy a red light therapy panel for $99 or for $4,000. The spec sheets often look similar. So why the gap?
Most of the difference isn't the device. It's the markup, the marketing budget, and what the brand chooses to invest in. Here's where our money actually goes.

Why competitors charge 3–5x more for similar specs
Higher marketing budgets
The premium brands invest heavily in influencer partnerships, podcasts, and athlete endorsements. That's real value if you trust those endorsements. We don't pay for any of that. Word-of-mouth instead.
Higher retail markup
Brands sold through resellers (gyms, spas, retailers) include the reseller margin in their direct-to-consumer pricing too — so DTC pays more to not undercut their B2B partners.
Bigger marketing teams
10+ person marketing teams, brand designers, content strategists, growth marketers. All real value, all real cost.
Brand premium
People will pay more for a name they recognize. Joovv, Omnilux, HigherDose, Mito charge a brand premium and it's not unfair — they earned the recognition. We're newer; we don't have that yet.

- No paid podcast ads
- No retail markup (we're DTC-only)
- No fake review programs
- No paid press placement
Bottom line
We're not the cheapest. We're not the most expensive. We're priced where the math works: clinical specs you can verify, US team, real warranty, real returns, FSA/HSA verified — at a margin that lets us stay in business without charging biohacker premium.
If a different brand answers our 12 questions better than we do, buy from them. We'd rather you have the right device.
