Is AWA legit?
It is a fair question. Here is what we can tell you, and where you can check it yourself.
Who we are
American Wellness Authority (AWA) is the brand name of Gotham Traders LLC, a company founded in 2016 in New Jersey by Sam Shrem. Gotham Traders LLC does business as American Wellness Authority. We have sold on Amazon for over 10 years and have served more than 50,000 customers.
How to reach a real person
Email contact@awarlt.com or use the contact page. A person on our team replies, and sometimes that person is Sam.
What about FDA?
Select devices carry FDA 510(k) clearance for specific, limited uses. Most of our devices are sold as general wellness products. Our face masks (LX300 and LX500) are cleared for the face only. A clearance applies only to the device and the specific, limited uses named in it. We explain how to check any seller's FDA claims in our guide How to check a device's FDA claims.
What we do not say
- We do not say that every AWA device carries FDA clearance.
- We do not make health or medical claims about our devices.
- We do not ask you to take our word for specs. Published irradiance numbers for the FX300 and FX500 are in our irradiance specs guide, with the distance each one was measured at.
